The BCC is a dedicated group of individuals promoting the protection and propagation of fish and game in a safe, sportsman-like and law-abiding manner. We encourage young and old alike to get involved with shooting and outdoor sports through our many safety programs and training in the proper care and use of hunting and fishing equipment. Our hope is to maintain for the use of the community our ranges and reserves for the purpose of developing characteristics of good fellowship, self discipline and self-reliance essential to good sportsmanship, true patriotism and citizenship.
Hello to you all,
I hope this finds you in great health ready to get at it on the trap range. While the winter was far from predictable, the ground hog stated we would have 6 more weeks of winter. This brings to mind another fresh start to the New Year with both Winter Archery and Winter Trap League. It is hard to believe we are half way through the season and before long will have the club active with youth shooting for CWYTL and also the start of the high School Trap League.
In speaking of the youth shooting, BCC is very fortunate to have some talented youth shooters that call our club home. Richard Ole Olson was awarded the State All Star Junior Award while RJ Gropp was just featured in Trap and Field in the February edition of the AIM profile. These are just a few of the remarkable youth shooters coming through our door. I am sure more are to follow which is a big thank you to the members that put the extra effort in coaching these youth.
With all the events upcoming one of our biggest fund raisers, our 27th Annual Banquet, will have come and gone for another year. If you took the time to help out or just attend to support the club, thank you all very much. I sincerely hope you all liked the new format and had a great time. Congrats to all the winners and remember to tell the others that did not attend to make sure they mark their calendars for next year. Profits from this event help us to develop youth programs and club improvements which we all enjoy.
Speaking of club involvement, The Bi-Annual Membership meeting, that includes the election of board members will be coming up in March, so mark your calendars for the 12th at 7:00pm. We will have 4 board positions to vote for during this time. For the members that have put time on the board thank you all. We have done a lot of great things to the facility. Once again, I want to thank you, the membership, to allow me the privilege of being your club president. I look forward to working with the upcoming board as we start to prepare for the hosting of the 2020 ATA Northeast Zone Shoot.
In closing, I would like to reach out to the membership and ask that each of you take some time to give back to the club whether donating time to help at a shoot or share your skills to make this club better than it already is. I know you all heard this a million times but this is your club let’s make it a great one!
See you out on the line,
Gary Witzke- President
The Board of Director's Meeting Minutes and BCC Foundation Minutes are now being posted on the website under the About tab, or click HERE to view meeting minutes for this year.
We have listed, with explanations, many of our activities in which you may volunteer. If all +1,600 of you pitch in and volunteer to help with just one thing that is listed, the board members could spend less time themselves making your club successful. Of course, volunteer hours count toward pheasants or shooting cards ... not to mention the feeling of satisfaction for a job well done! Click HERE for more information (last two pages of document).
If you shop with Amazon, you can support the BCCF by clicking on the link below, setting up your account, and going to smile.Amazon.com every time you begin your Amazon shopping "trip". Same products. Same experience. But Amazon will give us 0.5% of your purchase total when you shop AmazonSmile. It doesn't get any easier than that! We thank you for your support.

2017 Ironman Recap
Heartfelt thanks to the workers, shooters, and spectators of the 23rd Ironman. The event was a blast despite the persistent heavy showers on Saturday. Guess we were doomed to eventually be rained upon after so many years of great weather! Thanks for sticking it out...you still managed to shoot some great scores during those two flights.
ALL scores can be found here for the Ironman Shoot.
