BB Gun & Air Rifle Range Rules
Observe all safe gun-handling rules:
- actions open until ready to shoot
- muzzle pointed in a safe direction
- finger off the trigger until ready to shoot
- actions open until ready to shoot

- All shooters must review the general shooting safety rules located in the clubhouse.
- Properly worn eye protection is required by all shooters and spectators.
- Shouldering and pointing of air rifles is only allowed on the firing line and then down range.
- Discharge of air rifles is only allowed on the firing line and at the marked shooting stations.
- No air rifles are to be forward of the shooting line at any time.
- All air rifles must be on the shooting mats, in the gun racks, unloaded, and with actions open (facing up) when targets are being replaced, checked, or serviced.
- No air rifles are to be in the person's hands at any time while there are person(s) at the targets and backstops.
- If air rifle problems occur, point the muzzle down range.
- If a shooter cannot clear a jammed, broken, or inoperable gun, the Range Supervisor will take possession of it and move it to a secure and safe location.
- No food or beverages allowed in the shooting area.
- Intoxicated use of air rifles on the ranges is prohibited.
- Place all used targets and waste in receptacles provided.
- All decision on shooting rules and guidelines not covered here are made by the Range Office or Range Instructor and they are final.
- Air rifles require "open chamber indicators" when not in use.
- These rules and guidelines are subject to change at any time.
