Indoor Archery Range Rules
- All shooters must be a current member of the Berlin Conservation Club.
- All shooters must obey archery range safety guidelines.
- Hunting equipment only. (12” stabilizer max. 4” extension max. – No crossbows allowed.)
- League will consist of a practice and sign-up night, followed by 12 weeks of scored shooting with a fun night to follow. 14 weeks total.
- Cost - $5.00 per round of shooting, subject to yearly review.
- Sponsor fee of $20.00 per team – due by 3rd week of league shooting.
- Teams will consist of 3 shooters minimum, 5 shooters maximum. More with permission.
- No more than 2 targets- 6 practice arrows before scored shooting begins. This will be enforced.
- League shooting will consist of 48 arrows per night – shoot 3 arrows at each target – 2 times.
- If mechanical breakdown, shooter may fix bow and be allowed more practice before scoring resumes, or return on Sunday to finish scored shooting.
- Targets are scored: Heart – 6 pts; Lung/Liver- 4 pts.; Body (must hit target)- 2 pts; Miss/Arrows not sticking in target- 0 pts.; And a 25cent fine to the archery kitty.
- Handicap is based on 2/3 difference of the average from scratch of 250 (see table)
- Handicap will be determined after first week of shooting and is based off weekly average.
- In order to be eligible for individual trophies you must shoot all 12 weeks.
- If you miss a Wednesday night, you may make it up the following Sunday from 9-11, and must be done shooting before noon. Sunday is meant for make-up only, NOT league day.
- Team scores are the total of the three highest shooters for the week.
- Team points are based on the number of teams.
- If a team does not have three shooters for the week, the team will only be allowed to use the shooters that turned in score cards toward their team score, or take the lowest team member’s average minus 10.
- The use of lighted sights and luminocks are permitted – NO cap lights or flashlights are allowed.
- Must stand behind line in proper lane when shooting.
- Score cards are to be turned in at the bar when done shooting. Score cards must be added up before turning in.
- Youth may shoot on adult teams, but NO adults may shoot on youth teams. A youth team must consist of all shooters age of 16 or under at the start of league. If an adult shoots on a youth team, it will be classified as an adult team. Youth will still be able to qualify for individual youth awards.
- There must be at least 3 shooters of a class to qualify as a class. i.e. youth, women, men, senior
- The league is meant to provide fun as well as a competitive opportunity for all club members who choose to participate. Therefore, everyone is expected to follow the rules or they will be asked to dissolve their league membership.
