​General Rules
Revised 4/2025​


  1. Know and obey all range commands and rules.
  2. Know where others are at all times.
  3. Shoot only at authorized targets.
  4. Ground-level targets are not authorized; attach them to backstops at pistol and rifle ranges.
  5. Follow Range Officer's commands when one is present.
  6. Properly worn eye and ear protection is mandatory for all 17 and under while shooting, coaching, or scoring while or close to shooting area.  For all others it is highly recommended. 
  7. Unload, open the action, remove the magazine, remove arrows and ground, bench or cradle all weapons during acease-fire.
  8. DO NOT handle any firearm or draw a bow or stand at the firing line where firearms are present while others aredown range.
  9. Always keep the muzzle pointed at the backstop or down range. Never allow the muzzle to point in anydirection whereby an inadvertent discharge would allow the escape of a projectile into an outer area.
  10. Gun actions are to remain open at all times until ready to fire.
  11. Guns are to be loaded only when ready to fire.
  12. Observe all posted rules, warnings and other directional signs as posted at the ranges, clubhouse, or on the website. www.berlincc.org
